Nearby Clearwater Lake is one of the three true blue lakes in the world. The water is crystal clear and totally free of pollutants. The lake is about 15 miles long and 15 miles wide. Water depth can be more than 100 feet in many parts of the lake. The shoreline  has many sand beaches on various parts of the lake. Cottages dot the shoreline on the south and southwestern shoreline. The rest of the lake is virtually undeveloped wilderness.

The Pas Airport is on the shore of Clearwater Lake. Clients Traveling by air will be picked up at the Pas Airport.

Saskeram Marsh

• Includes both the Carrot River Triangle and Reader-Root complexes. Encompasses an area of 95,812 hectares of Crown land along the Saskatchewan River Delta.
• A traditional hunting and trapping area. A wide diversity of habitat zones provide for a variety of wildlife species.
• Serves as a refuge for waterfowl during drought years on the prairies.
• Contains moose and woodland caribou habitat.
• Major migration stop for Bald Eagles, Golden Eagles, and Tundra Swans. 
• Ducks Unlimited Canada's Rocky Creek fishway and water control structure is located approximately 30 km northwest of The Pas within the Saskeram Wildlife Management Area. In 1947, Ducks Unlimited Canada paid for the construction of a  water control structure and fishway (fishladder) to ensure Root and Reader Lakes had a consistent water supply. This structure also prevented more than 1,800 acres of wetlands upstream of the dam from drying out in years of low precipitation, thus providing waterfowl habitat unsurpassed.
